Need some food art inspiration during the upcoming festival of lights? Because I believe that no child should feel left out, food restriction (or religion too), I was so excited to take a stab at some super fun Hanukkah recipes for kids this year and could not be any more excited to share them with you here!

Let this Hanukkah season be full of creativity with edible treats that any child will love (adults too!) The best part is that all 4 of these Hanukkah Recipes for Kids are no bake and easy to make. Oh and they are also gluten free and vegan too. Now tell me, who’s got your back? That’s right, it’s me.

1. Hanukkah Puppy Chow: Take an old tradition of Puppy Chow and give it a Hanukkah twist with this delicious dessert snack. It’s the perfect blend of salty and sweet…and a hint of blue!

Hanukkah Puppy Chow

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tbsp. peanut butter
  • 1 bar of nondairy white chocolate
  • 1 1/2 c. gluten free cereal
  • 1/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. nondairy white chocolate chips
  • 1 handful gluten free pretzel sticks
  • blue colored allergen-friendly candies (I used NoNo’s)

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, warm up the peanut butter and white chocolate together until just melted.
  2. Place the cereal in a large plastic bag, add the melted peanut butter and white chocolate to coat the cereal. Add the powdered sugar, seal, and shake vigorously until evenly coated.
  3. Pour into a bowl, add the pretzels, white chocolate chips, and NoNo’s (or other blue-colored candies).

2. Star of David Pretzels: Surprise your little ones with a special treat with these Star of David chocolate-covered pretzels in their lunchbox. What a creative way to celebrate the holiday!

Star of David Pretzels (makes 10)

Ingredients:

  • 1 c. nondairy chocolate, melted
  • 60 gluten free pretzel sticks
  • sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. You will need 6 pretzel sticks per star. Dip each pretzel stick into the melted chocolate. Assemble together on a piece of wax paper and coat with sprinkles.
  2. Allow to set until hardened. You can place in the freezer to expedite this process.

3. PB & J Dreidels: Turn a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich into fun-sized, edible dreidels! Don’t forget the strawberry Hebrew letters. Too cute for words.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Dreidels (makes 6)

Ingredients:

  • 6 pieces of gluten free bread
  • peanut butter
  • jelly of choice
  • 3 strawberries, cut in half for the Hebrew letters on top
  • 6 gluten free pretzel sticks

Instructions:

  1. Slather peanut butter on 3 pieces of bread and peanut butter on the other 3.
  2. Cut the crusts off and slice in half. Cut the edges off for the dreidel shapes.
  3. Using a knife, cut out the Hebrew letters into the strawberries and place on top.
  4. Stick a pretzel stick into the tops of each dreidel.

4. Peppermint Patty Hanukkah Gelt: Turn those fun Hanukkah coins into peppermint deliciousness. These peppermint patties are made withthissecret ingredientthat you’d never guess it was. Oh, and it can be made without refined sugar. That’s right, you heard me correct!

Peppermint Patty Hanukkah Gelt(makes 10 coins)

Ingredients:

  • 1 recipe for Raw Peppermint Patties
  • gold and silver foil wrapping

Instructions:

  1. After you have finished making the peppermint patties according to the recipe, wrap up in gold and/or silver foil.
  2. That’s it. So easy right?!
