I hate when people pull the fenders off the bikes... its also annoying when they call it a cafe racer because they put a set of low bars on it.

I miss how it was 10-12 years ago when you could go on there and find a bunch of them for less than $200.

people here think if its old it must be rare and valuable but they will never sell cause people would rather have a shiny new taotao anyway

With the exception of the Hobbit being high, those prices aren't that crazy.
Running, clean bikes for $800? That's pretty average in CT. There are a ton of non-running, rusted up piles for sale in the $400 range right now that will end up in the scrapyard

I've seen em... So funny how out of touch CL sellers can be.
Anyone ever went and looked at the burgundy colored a35 in Titusville that's been on CL for like 18 months or so? Guy wants $750

I messaged him. I hit up all these people and pretty much say let me know when youre stuck with it and I'll come pick it up. I usually offer them 200-400 bucks depending. Everyone hit up the hobbit guy for me to get his lrice down. I want it.

You and I are doing the same thing then.
Game on!
I'm actually buying another school bus soon, so you may have the local CL market all to yourself again for a little bit!

I sense some sarcasim there. HOwever if it actually runs with a title $300 is not an unreasonable starting point for that bike.

big difference between fl prices and northeast prices
i usually pick up non running peds $50 -100 and the most i ever spent was that green tomos for $200 but that thing was nice and didnt need any work
and theres only a handful of actual moped people around here(space coast treasure coast palm beach) and "normal" dont buy mopeds because never mind that they dont have electric start but usually the fact that you have to mix gas scares the "normal" people away
the only other people that buy mopeds are the drunks that think that because it has pedals that means they can ride them on a suspended license which they soon find out they cant

I've been meaning to go check that Garelli out, I just haven't been able to get my buddy's truck for a couple weeks now. I use it to get mopeds n stuff.
Its been in the paint shop.

Hey what do you guys think of this? I'm going to offer him $200 for the pair. If I'm lucky I'll get one running hobbit maybe? The "$1500" hobbit guy never replied but I want one.
Honda Hobbit P50 moped - $250

Sure l they're asking these prices, are they getting them? I'm looking in the Venice area of FL as well as Pittsburgh. All the good stuff is snapped up by moped hoarders and flippers. Trying to buy something nice below $300.

I really don't think anyone's paying more than 300-400 for nice mopeds around here.
I just scored a complete 2000 Sprint with a whole extra set of wheels and pile of parts for $75 last night! :)

Last week I picked up a Revival with a seized engine for $125. Like new tires and battery. Probably too much but I can do something with it. At lest it had a transferable registration.

I think I saw that one on CL. You beat me to it.
The Sprint I just got came with a registration signed over and the MCO.
I may try to save it, but the tank is rusty bad.
